Ganahl Lumber Company is the oldest lumberyard and hardware supply store in California. Since 1884, we have been a family- and employee-owned business providing building supplies and hardware for pro contractors and DIY enthusiasts alike. Our products include lumber, tools, paint, building materials, millwork, doors, and windows. With eleven convenient store locations, we serve customers throughout the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales intern to join our team. This role is designed for an individual who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in sales and business development. You will work closely with the sales team to support lead generation and pipeline management and helping to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with prospecting and lead generation through research, outreach, and CRM updates. This will include driving our focus market to collect information for sales leads.
- Conduct market research and identify potential opportunities.
- Provide administrative support, including update of sales database.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, campaigns, and business development strategies.
Requirements:
- Must have a clean driving record, has access to an automobile and is willing to drive for extended periods of time.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook skills
- Self-motivated, organized and the ability to manage their time.
- Possesses intellectual curiosity about Ganahl’s business and processes.
- Live in close proximity to the Altadena area is a plus
- Practical experience using MS Excel and Outlook
- Mentorship from experiences professionals in the retail lumber business
- Opportunities to contribute to a meaningful project that impact Ganahl’s business.
