Customer Service Concierge
Customers having a wonderful experience shopping our locations is extremely important to us. We are seeking a friendly and competent customer service concierge. Hospitality is the key ingredient! You will be responsible for greeting the customer, answering questions & directing the flow of customers while also completing day to day tasks.
The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with people with the expectation of going above and beyond for the customer. They will have strong organization, time management skills, and possess a desire to grow their career with Ganahl Lumber.
Concierge Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet our customers with great hospitality!
- Act as a liaison between the sales team, order pullers, and the customer.
- Coordinate the pulling/fulfillment of customers’ orders from the sales counter to the order pullers.
- Merchandise Return Memos (MRM) – You will be and MRM champion responsible for over-seeing all returns that come through the store.
- Entering lumber tallies in computer.
- Ordering material.
- Help coordinate lunches & breaks for order pulling department.
- Looking up stock in other yards for availability & pricing.
- Work with Customer Service Supervisor to coordinate training schedule for new employees.
- Answering phone calls that come through the customer service desk.
- Maintaining an organized and clean workspace and surrounding area.
- Hospitality/Service industry experience desired.
- Displays confidence.
- A good smile.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Multi-tasker that can juggle multiple high priority tasks/projects.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Ganahl’s system & Microsoft office.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills & radio lingo.
- Good with learning names & remembering customers.
- Extensive product knowledge including hardware & lumber.
- Familiar with lumber yard layout, and product location.
